Bolt Action or Semi Auto Target Rifle

    Hi Guys - Newie Here

    I'm new to target shooting.
    Tell me in your expert opinions which is better for 22cal. target shooting:
    1- Bolt Action
    2- Semi-Auto Action

    "Better" is a subjective term. Bolt action for accuracy. Semi-auto for pure enjoyment and burning through a brick of bullets pretty quickly. I'd go for a Marlin or Ruger semi-auto 10/22. Both have lots of aftermarket accessories if you want to AR it up. Ruger probably has more add-ons available, though. Pistols are a lot of fun too. Ruger Mark (whatever Roman numeral they're up to now) or a Browning Buckmark. I have a Browning and it's a ton of fun to shoot, but a bitch to clean. 22LR is a dirty round.

    I have eleven .22LR rifles. The only one that shoots like you see below, by a wide margin, is my CZ 455 bolt action. Sub-MOA at 100 yards. My other .22LR rifles (a variety of action types) have groups that measure in the inches at 100 yards. All of these groups below are three shots at 100 yards.
