    My Armalite build. Modeled after the M110.

    Painted the handguard, buffer tube, and the upper and lower with Aervoe earth brown. The barrel is Aervoe coyote. Pictures really don't do it justice.

    What experience do y'all have with the different brands of AR mags? Everyone has Pmags, GI steel or aluminum, Bushmaster, Lancer, etc...how about we talk about the others we might have. I personally have 2 polymer mags that I'm itching to try - Amend2 and Mission First Tactical. I don't expect them to hold up to Lancer standards but they were less than $10 each. Hopefully next week ill be able to run at least 60 rounds through each one.

    I have the Amend 2 and they seem to run just fine. Nice mag for the money IMO.

    Here's one in my new AR.

    Most of my Magazines are old school metal with non-tilt followers...probably have 50 at fast count.

    But...I did pickup a "bunch" of PMags when the Gander Mountain near me was selling off all inventory...$9.99 Thirty rounders and $14.99 Forty rounders. :D { Yea...got me 10 of each. }

    I'm
    That's a great price. I'm actually not a fan of plastic mags but I do use them. (My favorite coyote hunting mag is a 20 round PMag, because it doesn't rattle.) I've been trying to find DH mags but they're scarce around here. I've got a crap ton of Bushmaster and Charles Daly metal 30 rounders. I've got ASC metal too but I've never used them, I don't know if they're any good.

    December builds.
    300 Blackout and 5.56. These were built from spare parts I had. Only the receivers are new. They are sharing a lower, BCG, and Charging handle. For now at least. The 300 BLK has 100 rounds through it, and is reasonably accurate, looks like a 2 1/2 moa rifle, with cast 230 grain. Hoping to make it do better. It was shot with a 4moa dot at 50 yards. Not the best sighting system for accuracy. I put the carry handle on it after shooting it.

    The 5.56 has 20 rounds through it and functions fine. Accuracy is to be determined.

    I have many different manufacturers AR mags in a wide variety of materials. None have ever malfunctioned for me. I prefer the translucent poly bodied, steel lipped, Lancer Advanced Warfighter magazines. I use both the gray and the FDE versions in my primary LEO 5.56/.223 ARs. I use D&H mags and C-Products mags in my 6.8 SPC ARs.

    I like the Lancer AWM a lot. In fact, a loaded AWM rests on the 2nd shelf of the safe with 30 rounds of 5.56 in it, just in case...

    Never used C Products. I've read there are actually 2 different companies that have used that name and the older ones are great, the newer ones are not as good. Any truth to that?

    I can't help regarding 2 different companies using the name. I don't know anything about it. I do know my C-Products mags all work. They are some unknown years old. I really can't remember when I bought what. C-Products advertises being the most reliable mags on the market

    I've had good service from the Troy Battlemags. But, it's hard to beat the GI metal magazines.
