I enjoyed this topic on a different forum and since I have not seen it here, I thought I'd start the topic here.

Please post whatever you did today, or VERY recently, that is gun related.

    I'll start -
Today, I spent about 5 hours (I am still at it) getting guns ready to sell at an upcoming gun show. I made sure they are unloaded, zip tied, and priced.

I also rotated my Glock magazine in my EDC G22.

I was going to do some shooting as the temp was close to 70, with 10 mph wind, for about 1 hour, but I slept through it. Now the temp is 37 and falling with 35 mph wind. Brrr.

Checked out a new range starting up ARA matches in March. Its in Denton, Tx. Nice range with 20 covered concrete benches. A 7.5 hour drive for me but would be a nice 2-4 day trip for me and the wife. Good motels and RV parks there also. Will be ran by the maker of Holeshot rimfire actions. About the best there is for match rifle builds.

Also in the 70s here yesterday but way to windy, 10 pretty steady with gusts over 30, so no shooting. Should get 2 more bricks of Lapua .22 ammo today. Also waiting on some needle tipped squezze bottles for my cleaning station and range box. Check often for the big indoor matches coming up the 9, 10, and 11 in Lake Providence La. right now its a full house with 60 shooters. Im #2 on the standby list to get in if any cancellations.

I'm pulling out the long guns, one at a time, and inspecting, cleaning, oiling, as needed.

Only 10? If you are using it only for a nightstand gun, maybe 10 is enough? For any other use, you might add a few more - every so often....:D

Called Ruger to get a hammer strut on order for my new, New Model Blackhawk Flat Top revolver.
Seems like it was treated a little rough when they worked on the gun. I couldn't get it straight enough so I wanted a new one.
They're sending it free of charge... I was gonna buy it but she said, "No, I'll just send it to you". Works for me.

Does carrying a gun all day count as firearm related? How about obsessively scouring the interwebs for any mention of something I find interesting coming out of Shot Show 2018? And no, didn't really see anything I'm too terribly interested in at Shot yet.

Went to the range to shoot my Sig SP2022 9mm. Was testing some new Bayou Bullets in 147 grn vrs some local led bullets of the same weight and shape,(truncated cone). The Bayou Bullets shot a tighter group by a significant amount., a ragged hole vrs individual holes.:great:

Pulled some guns outta the safes for tomorrow's trip to the range

...a friend of mine asked me to take her shooting...expressing interest in 9mm handguns and 5.56 carbines.

After that...a trip to a few gun shops.

    I think she's ready to buy !!

Today I did the same thing I have been doing all week: checked all the gun websites for something interesting coming out of Shot Show. Haven’t really found it yet. Except maybe that legal loop hole SBR. I found that entertaining.

0745, 39 deg. and no wind. I went out and hung an ARA target. Will finish my last cup of coffee for the day and just might get to shoot. The sun aint up yet over the trees and when it does Im sure the wind will come up also.
